Farrell Backing Bealham To Deliver Against All Blacks
Andy Farrell has backed Cian Healy to deliver against the All Blacks despite his recent injury problems.
The Ireland coach has named Healy in his starting XV for Saturday's Test in Dublin, despite the loosehead prop having only played 40 minutes of rugby since the end of the Six Nations.
Farrell is confident that Healy is fit enough to play and that he will be able to handle the physicality of the All Blacks pack.
"Cian is a world-class player and he's worked really hard to get back fit," said Farrell.
"He's had a few injury problems but he's over those now and he's ready to go."
Farrell also praised Healy's experience and leadership qualities.
"He's a guy who has been there and done it all," said Farrell.
"He's a great leader and he's someone who the other players look up to."
Healy is expected to start alongside Tadhg Furlong and Andrew Porter in the Ireland front row.
The trio will be tasked with stopping the All Blacks scrum, which is one of the most powerful in the world.
Farrell is confident that his team can match the All Blacks physically.
"We know that the All Blacks are a physical side but we're confident that we can match them," said Farrell.
"We've got a good pack of forwards and we're confident that we can get the upper hand in the scrum."
