Connacht prop set to start for Ireland against New Zealand in Dublin
Bealham has been in excellent form for his province this season and will be hoping to impress against the world champions
Finlay Bealham is facing the biggest challenge of his career when he starts for Ireland against New Zealand at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
The Connacht prop has been in excellent form for his province this season and will be hoping to impress against the world champions.
Bealham has won 11 caps for Ireland but has never started against the All Blacks.
He will be up against one of the most experienced front rows in world rugby, with Joe Moody, Codie Taylor and Nepo Laulala all set to start for New Zealand.
But Bealham is confident that he can handle the challenge.
"It's a massive challenge, but it's one that I'm really looking forward to," he said.
"The All Blacks are the best team in the world, so it's going to be a huge test for us.
"But we're confident that we can give them a game.
"We've got a lot of quality in our squad, and we're all determined to put in a good performance."
Bealham's selection is a reflection of his impressive form for Connacht this season.
The 29-year-old has been a key part of the province's success in the United Rugby Championship, and he has also been in good form in the Heineken Champions Cup.
Bealham's performances have earned him a recall to the Ireland squad, and he will be hoping to make the most of his opportunity against the All Blacks.
The match against New Zealand is a huge occasion for Bealham, and he is determined to make the most of it.
"It's a dream come true to play against the All Blacks," he said.
"It's going to be a special occasion, and I'm going to give it my all."
