Fury calls on former heavyweight king to quit boxing
Tyson Fury has warned Deontay Wilder he faces irreversible damage if he continues boxing
The Gypsy King launched a stinging attack on his old rival as he predicted a brutal knockout win if they meet for a fourth time
Tyson Fury has told Deontay Wilder to quit boxing for his own good as he accused the Bronze Bomber of slurring his words after their third fight.
The pair have fought three times with Fury winning the second and third contests following a controversial draw in the first fight in 2018.
Wilder is yet to fight since Fury knocked him out in the 11th round of their trilogy bout in October 2021 but has been linked with a return to the ring later this year.
But Fury believes the 37-year-old should hang up his gloves for good, telling The Telegraph: "Wilder should retire. He's got a lot of money. He's taken a lot of punishment over the years."
"I think he should retire and enjoy life with his family. You only get one life and you can't keep getting cracked in the chin and getting knocked out."
"I've seen a video of him doing the rounds, talking, and his speech is all slurred. You can't keep getting hit in the head and expect to be the same afterwards. I'm worried about him."
"If I had to fight Wilder again I'd do the same thing. I'd beat him up and knock him out even quicker than the last two times."
"If he wants to keep going, that's up to him. But I wouldn't recommend it. He's already got more money than he can spend."
"He's got a beautiful family. He should just enjoy life and be happy."
