Garrett Temple Injury: Doubtful for Saturday
Nuggets shooting guard Garrett Temple is expected to miss Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers because of a left calf issue.
The veteran is dealing with soreness in his left calf, per Mike Singer of the Denver Post, and is doubtful to play on the second night of a back-to-back.
Temple started in place of the injured Jamal Murray (right knee) on Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, finishing with 10 points, two rebounds and two assists. Denver prevailed 115-109 despite playing without another key player in Aaron Gordon (right rib contusion).
The Nuggets will likely give Temple another day to rest before re-evaluating his status prior to Saturday's matchup with the Clippers.
The 36-year-old is averaging 5.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists off the bench in 49 games this season.
With Murray and Gordon both sidelined Wednesday, Bruce Brown drew the start alongside Nikola Jokic, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Michael Porter Jr. and Jeff Green.
Bones Hyland came off the bench to score a season-high 21 points, while Caldwell-Pope added 19 and Porter chipped in 18. Jokic finished with 24 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists to lead Denver to its second straight victory.
The Nuggets (36-18) currently rank first in the Western Conference standings and will host the Clippers (31-28) on Saturday night at Ball Arena.
