Men's Basketball Hosts 58th Annual OUTRIGGER Rainbow Classic
The University of Hawaii men's basketball team will host the 58th annual OUTRIGGER
Rainbow Classic from Nov. 17-20 at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center. The eight-team tournament will feature four teams from the Big West Conference and four teams from the Western Athletic Conference.
The tournament field includes Hawaii, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton, Seattle U, Utah Valley, Southern Utah, and Grand Canyon.
The Rainbow Warriors will open the tournament against Seattle U on Thursday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. HT. The other first-round game will feature Utah Valley and Southern Utah at 5 p.m. HT.
The winners of the first-round games will advance to the semifinals on Friday, Nov. 18. The championship game will be played on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. HT.
The OUTRIGGER Rainbow Classic is one of the most prestigious college basketball tournaments in the country. The tournament has been won by some of the biggest names in college basketball, including UCLA, Duke, North Carolina, and Kansas.
The Rainbow Warriors are looking to win their first OUTRIGGER Rainbow Classic championship since 2012. Hawaii has won the tournament 10 times, which is the most of any team.
