One Person Dies in Pyatigorsk Fire

Firefighters battled a blaze in Pyatigorsk that killed one person and injured another five.

The fire broke out in a residential building on Kirova Street.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire department received a call about the fire at 03:00 local time. When firefighters arrived, the fire had already engulfed the building.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, but not before it had caused extensive damage to the building. One person was killed in the fire, and five others were injured.

The injured were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
