Modern children’s rehabilitation centers

The branches of the «Qamqorlyq» children’s rehabilitation centers will provide support for children with special needs and their parents. “Qamqorlyq” locations have already been opened in six regions of Kazakhstan (Akmola, Zhambyl, Kostanay, Mangistau, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan). The main directions of the specialized centers are rehabilitation, social adaptation, and early intervention.

Rehabilitation centers branches

The rehabilitation centers are equipped with modern equipment for diagnostics, including a robotic complex for neurological rehabilitation. The staff of the centers includes qualified specialists who have undergone additional training, including abroad. The centers create all conditions for the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy, autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, and other genetic diseases. The first “Qamqorlyq” center in the Aktobe region was opened in October 2022 and is designed for simultaneous stay of up to 60 children. The rehabilitation center in Aktobe includes several departments:

Medical rehabilitation department, including physiotherapy, massage, hydrotherapy, and speech therapy
Department of social rehabilitation
Department of psychological and pedagogical rehabilitation
Education department
Interdisciplinary neurological and rehabilitation diagnostic department
Department of adaptation and social assistance

The goals of the Foundation

The main goal of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation, in the framework of the «Qamqorlyq» project, is to provide specialized assistance to children with special needs aged 0 to 18 years old. The Foundation plans to open five more rehabilitation centers in Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Shymkent, Karaganda, and Taldykorgan in 2023. In 2023, all branches of the «Qamqorlyq» children's rehabilitation centers will be connected to a single information system that will allow specialists from different regions to exchange experience.
