Temple Ruled Out With Left Calf Strain
Toronto Raptors guard Garrett Temple will not play in Wednesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets due to a left calf strain, the team announced Tuesday.
Temple suffered the injury in the Raptors' 114-106 win over the Utah Jazz on Monday. He played 20 minutes and scored seven points before leaving the game in the third quarter.
The 34-year-old Temple is averaging 5.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game this season.
The Raptors will be without several key players on Wednesday, including Pascal Siakam (knee), Fred VanVleet (hip) and OG Anunoby (calf).
The Nets, meanwhile, are coming off a 125-116 win over the Boston Celtics on Monday.
The game between the Raptors and Nets is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
