Ryazan VDV's Impressive Play Guides Them to National Junior Hockey League Victory
Bobrov Leads the Way with Four Goals as Ryazan VDV Defeats Voronezh
Ryazan VDV continued their impressive play in the National Junior Hockey League (NJHL) with a 6-2 victory over Voronezh on Saturday.
The victory extends Ryazan VDV's winning streak to four games and improves their record to 9-3-0 on the season. They sit atop the NJHL standings with 18 points, two points ahead of second-place Yaroslavl Loko.
Kirill Bobrov led the way for Ryazan VDV with four goals, while Ivan Muranov and Ivan Lobanov added the other two goals.
Bobrov's first goal came just 2:21 into the game, giving Ryazan VDV an early lead. He added his second goal of the game midway through the second period to extend the lead to 2-0.
Voronezh cut the lead to 2-1 with a goal from Daniil Tkachenko late in the second period, but Bobrov completed his hat-trick just over a minute later to restore the two-goal lead.
Muranov gave Ryazan VDV a 4-1 lead in the third period, and Bobrov scored his fourth goal of the game just over a minute later to make it 5-1.
Lobanov rounded out the scoring for Ryazan VDV with a goal in the final minute of the game.
Ryazan VDV will look to continue their winning ways when they host SKA-1946 St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
