SA vs IND: Indian team left to sing the National Anthem themselves as the broadcast was stopped in the middle
Team India forced to sing the National Anthem on their own as the broadcast was stopped in the middle.
The incident left the Indian players and fans fuming with anger as they felt disrespected by the hosts.
The Indian cricket team was left fuming with anger after their experience during the pre-match ceremony on Day 3 of the 2nd Test against South Africa at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
Just as the Indian players lined up to sing the Indian national anthem, the broadcast from the stadium was abruptly stopped. The team was left to sing the anthem on their own in front of a stunned crowd.
It is very disappointing to see such behaviour from any host broadcaster. This was a blatant act of disrespect towards the Indian team and the country as a whole. The BCCI should take up this matter with the South African Cricket Board (CSA) and demand an explanation for this unacceptable behavior.
