"Speed Tram". The Contractor Ignored the Governor's Instructions. It Is No Longer Possible to Complete the Work by December 1
The contractor of the "High-speed tram" project ignored the instructions of the Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev to complete the work by December 1.
This was stated by the head of the city administration Vadim Kstenin during a working trip to the construction site of the new microdistrict. According to him, it is unrealistic to complete the construction of the facility by the end of the year, since the contractor did not take into account the recommendations of the regional government and did not increase the pace of work.
Earlier, the governor instructed the contractor to increase the number of shifts and workers at the facility, but the recommendations were ignored, Kstenin said.
The head of the city administration added that the "unprecedented pace" of construction announced by the contractor is unrealistic. According to him, "this speed is not even close".
As a result, the contractor was blacklisted. Kstenin stressed that the new contractor will be selected through a competition.
We add that earlier the governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, instructed to launch the "High-speed tram" by December 1. It was planned that by this date the depot, contact network and tracks would be ready.
The project to create a "High-speed tram" in Voronezh involves the construction of 22.9 km of tracks, 25 traction substations, seven overpasses and a bridge across the Voronezh River, as well as the purchase of 23 three-section trams.
The project is being implemented within the framework of the federal project "Clean Air". Funding is provided by the Infrastructure Development Fund (IDF), the Voronezh Region and the city budget.
