Birmingham Phoenix Women have appointed Alistair Maiden as their new head coach for the 2025 season.

Maiden joins Phoenix after three years as head coach of Worcestershire Women, where he helped the team to promotion to the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy Division One in 2022.

He has also worked as an assistant coach with the England Women's Academy and the England Under-19s.

"I am delighted to be joining Birmingham Phoenix Women," said Maiden.

"The club has a rich history in the women's game and I am excited to be part of its future."

"I believe that we can challenge for silverware in the Hundred and I am looking forward to working with the players to achieve our goals."

Phoenix Women's general manager, Ebony Rainford-Brent, said: "We are thrilled to have Alistair on board."

Maiden will take charge of Phoenix Women for the first time in the 2025 season, which starts in May.
