U.S. and China
U.S. and Chinese officials will meet in Washington on Friday for the first face-to-face talks on trade since U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed to a 90-day truce in their escalating tariff war.
Ahead of the meeting, Trump said he hoped to reach a "great" deal with China, but warned that he was ready to impose more tariffs if necessary.
Xi said he was "cautiously optimistic" about the talks, but added that China would not compromise on "major issues of principle."
Brexit
British Prime Minister Theresa May has said she is "determined" to get her Brexit deal approved by Parliament, despite growing opposition from within her own party.
May's deal was rejected by Parliament in January, and she is now facing a fight to get it passed before the UK is due to leave the EU on March 29, 2019.
If May's deal is not approved, the UK could leave the EU without a deal, which would have major consequences for the UK economy.
Yemen
The UN has warned that the humanitarian situation in Yemen is "catastrophic" and that millions of people are at risk of starvation.
The UN has called for an immediate ceasefire in Yemen, but the fighting continues, and there is no end in sight to the conflict.
The war in Yemen has been going on for more than three years, and has caused a major humanitarian crisis, with millions of people displaced and in need of food, water, and medical care.
