Maiden becomes first female head coach in The Hundred
Ali Maiden has been appointed as the new head coach of Birmingham Phoenix women, becoming the first female head coach in The Hundred.
Maiden, who has previously worked as an assistant coach with the England women's team, will take over from Ben Sawyer, who has stepped down after two seasons in charge.
The 38-year-old Maiden has a wealth of experience in the women's game, having played for England at both senior and A level.
