The Forest Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh has released an official advertisement inviting applications for the recruitment of Forest Guards in various districts of the state, including Raipur.

There are a total of 200 vacancies available, with 100 vacancies reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the post of Forest Guard, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: 10th pass from a recognized board
• Age Limit: 18-25 years
• Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the prescribed physical standards, including height, weight, and chest circumference

Candidates who have served in the Indian Army, Navy, or Air Force will be given preference.

Selection Process

The selection process will involve a written examination, a physical test, and an interview.

The written examination will consist of objective type questions from the following subjects:

• General Knowledge
• Current Affairs
• Environmental Science
• Forestry

The physical test will include a run, a long jump, and a high jump.

The interview will be conducted by a board of officers from the Forest Department.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be appointed as Forest Guards in the pay scale of Rs. 5,200-20,200 per month.
